Does his voice mail kick straight in? Could he try an adjustment time for kick in?

Hey Sieghard. Those are great suggestions, however his mute isn't on and the ringer is audible. I have enough sight to see a little bit of the phone and his screen doesn't even come on when there's a phone call. When I call him on my 5S and his screen is locked, I get a half ring and then his voice mail kicks in. I'll see about do not disturb, although I doubt that that's on since he doesn't know about that feature.

Check the mute switch, sounds like the phone may simply be muted and he may have set it not to vibrate in which case there would be no indication that a call is coming in although I assume visually the lock screen may be visible when the phone is ringing even if it is set not to vibrate and with the mute switch turned on. Not sure about this, however. Another thing to check if mute is not on is that his ringier volume is not all the way down which once again may result in a quiet phone if it is also not set to vibrate.

Subject: Phone Calls on an iPhone 4S Running iOS 8.3

Hi all. I'm kinda stumped on this and I want to know if any of you iPhone 4S users running iOS 8.3 experience this as well. This is for a friend of mine who's sighted so he doesn't need Voiceover. I was playing around on his phone after he told me that he wasn't getting any phone calls and I noticed something strange. He isn't getting any calls or texts coming in when the screen is locked. So I unlocked it and with my 5S I called his number. Sure enough, the phone rang. So again, is anyone else experiencing this running iOS 8.3 on a 4S? Do you think resetting network settings would resolve anything? Thanks in advance.
