Tara, when the phone is plugged in and you check the battery read out at the top right, does it announce a percentage followed by the word "charging"? If your phone is actually charging it will say so or, if it was at 100% and fully charged it may say "100%, on AC power". If it only says the percentage and not charging then something is either wrong with your cable, the AC adapter or you have it plugged into an outlet which doesn't have power. Of course if you have it plugged into a power bar with a switch maybe the switch got turned off.
