I don’t have time to write a long email as I have to leave for work, but search
the archive for “radio thermostat”, there have been many posts including some
fairly detailed ones by myself and others. I have been using these for at least
3 years and they work great and the app is quite accessible except for a few
small things. You can also go to www.RadioThermostat.com
<http://www.RadioThermostat.com> to read more, but keep in mind that you can
often find them cheaper at Home Depot in the States, I heard some bought them
there for $99. Also keep in mind that you would have to get a technician to
install these since depending on what cable/wire is running from your furnace
to your thermostat now an upgrade maybe required. These thermostats require a
24 Volt wire from the furnace to the thermostat to give them power which is
need to maintain the WiFi connection and many traditional thermostat cables
only have 3 wires not 4 where the fourth would be the power lead.

Sieghard

Subject: Thermostats

Hi all,

I have to replace my thermostat, and was wondering if there were any app
controlled thermostats that were accessible? Thank you for any recommendations.

Cheryl
