Quite often, I am told that I'm 2 or 3 doors away from where I actually am. It's not just the iphone that's given me these slightly off results either. I've accepted it as inherent inaccuracy in GPS. Mind you, I have sometimes been indoors when I've got these results, so it may be a bit unfair to judge anything like that.

So if you're in a vehicle, you can often improve accuracy by putting your device near a window. On the street, there's not much you can do. The weather can affect accuracy, for instance.
