Since the earth, as well as the satellites on which the GPS information is dependent, are all in constant motion, a destination cannot be exact. For this reason, the accuracy of a destination point is approximately thirty feet, regardless of the GPS program being used. Terry

So if you're in a vehicle, you can often improve accuracy by putting your device near a window. On the street, there's not much you can do. The weather can affect accuracy, for instance.
