If you want to own a Mac, by all means, it's a very nice piece of hardware. In 2009, I went to the Apple Store, saw one, fell in love with it and bought it. I use it for four years. In that time, I came to the conclusion that although it did do things differently, it didn't do them any better than Windows. And I'm not going to go into any details for all the situations when I absolutely needed Windows. Space during that time, I found myself jumping from Mac to Windows and Windows to Mac through boot camp. Sometimes, while on the Mac I found myself typing Windows commands. In Windows, I also made the mistake of sometimes typing Mac commands. When I decided to upgrade my hardware in 2013 I ended up just getting a Windows machine. I made my decision based on the fact that the Mac didn't really give me any advantages over Windows and the Windows hardware when comparing similar specs was cheaper.
