I tried it as well, and managed to calibrate it, though the process was odd. Taking measurements mostly works--VO says "go" when, I assume, I am to move the phone to the endpoint of the measurement--but the measurement was off. I also didn't get the "measure space between two parallel surfaces" to work at all. Overall it seems like a cool app, but one that could use some VO refinements and that shouldn't be used for fitting a door or seeing if a new gate is wide enough for your fence.
