I must report that I cannot reproduce this bug so it is user dependend.
Please report it to Apple accessibility but here the bug does not occur with
an iphone 5s 64 gb.

Subject: New bug in 9.02 update typing echo seems to be broken
I would caution users from updating to the 9.02 update. It seems that the
typing echo feature in voiceover is broken. I know longer get back when I am
typing or reviewing text. This makes it very difficult to do anything with
the keyboard.
