I've recently in the past few days have gotten an error message first thing in the morning when checking a Gmail account of mine via the native mail app to the affect of the iMap server could not checkk mail and to check my password in settings. I tried a whole bunch of stuff, but what I found works and seems to get rid of the error message and permits me to download messages again is to go into the particular mail account via settings, mail, calendar, contacts and turn off and back on mail for that account. Weird because even though I have a couple of Gmail accounts configured on my phone with the native mail app, it's only one account that is giving me this issue. Anyway, it seems to work, so I'm not terribly worried about it.

Okay then, you don't use two-factor authentication, probably. Have you tried deleting the Gmail account from the phone and adding it back in, starting it over from scratch? > On Oct 9, 2015, at 09:21, [email protected] wrote: > > I don't think so.
