well, I suggest for you to call apple accessibility to get clear facts. I suggest to get the name of guy who gave the instructions. if you call anyone, and they know might know nothing and not being able to help. if yo have the name of guy, get the name and ask group for him and he might be there. he might help yo with something.

Speaking of third-party apps, do you know of a app I can run on my ios
device that will do some thing like the following?

I connect the ios device to my computer.
Then I run a app on the ios device I would call open in.
Then you could use this app to browse the files on your computer such as: a
file
called The Case of the Counterfeit Eye.zip. Doubletap and
hold on the file and get a menu like:

dismiss pop up

AirDrop Button
Mail Button
Open in Voice Dream Button
Open in BARD Mobile Button
Open in Learning Ally Button

Hello Richard, the third-party app he recommended was iMazing. He said that
there is both a Mac and a Windows version.

A sighted friend of mine uses iMazing on the Mac and swears by it.

Which third party app did they recommend, or were they not quite that
helpful.

Subject: A Very Surprising Suggestion by an Apple Accessibility Technical
Support Representative

Hello Everyone,

As I have posted, on-list, since updating to iOS 9.0.2, I have not been able
to either add or remove any media from my iPhone 5 S, be it audio books,
ring tones, music, etc.

After extensive research, I discovered that many of those using iTunes for
Windows and even some using OS X, were experiencing the same problem. As
would be expected, there were suggestions as to how to resolve this problem.
I tried all of them and none worked, for me.

Finally, yesterday, I decided to call the Apple accessibility support
number.

As it is not my intention to write a novel here, I will just provide the sum
and substance of my call. By the way, I want you to know that the tech was
very gracious and professional. As I had dedicated an entire afternoon to
resolving this problem, I, too, was very patient and polite.

1.
I asked the rep if he was familiar or had any recent experience using iTunes
for Windows. He said yes.

2.
He told me that he had heard of no problems with syncing between the 5 S
running 9.0.2 and that he was personally using Windows with a 5 S with no
problem during our call.

3.
Because I have yet to hear an Apple support specialist admit that there may
be a bug in anything, (just my experience, mind you), I had prepared a URL
to give to the tech to prove that this problem has been reported to Apple
since as early as the first release of iOS 9.0. I will admit that it gave
me a lot of satisfaction when he returned to the line, after visiting the
site containing the reports, minus his, if not arrogance, then his
conviction that mine was an isolated issue.

4.
After spending a lot of time on the phone with no success, he inadvertently
admitted that he was using a Mac to help me troubleshoot. This came up
because we were searching for some system files that clearly do not exist on
a Windows PC. When I called him out on this, he admitted that he was not
using a Windows PC during our call.

The Surprise:
5.
He suggested that I use a third-party application, instead of iTunes, to
sync my iOS devices.

I was really stunned at his suggestion, to say the least.

He was unable to resolve my problem.

However, I am delighted to report that, after doing some thinking on the
matter, I decided to attempt a different approach and, thankfully, it was
successful. The following are the steps I took in order to resolve the
problem:

1.
Before launching iTunes for Windows and attaching my 5 S, after unhiding the
system files, I deleted the .iPSW file that was initially downloaded in
iTunes. Doing this forced iTunes to download a fresh copy of iOS 9.0.2 to
my PC.

2.
I restored my 5 S and set it up as a new phone.

3.
I then restored a previously saved backup of my 5 S.

Now, all is working as it should and I am experiencing absolutely no
synchronization problems.
