Hello Terrie, I can tell you that Google has been experiencing problems with its servers for the last couple of weeks or so, I have encountered the same error messages in Outlook, on my Windows computers, on my Android devices, on my Macs, and on my Windows phones. I have herd the same complaints from friends of mine all across the United States.
It appears to be a kind of rolling outage. That is to say, it affects various areas at different times. For me, here in southern California, the problem seems to have gotten better over the last week or so.
