i red about that to i think they were using eye beakins or something since i red about a blind person who was able to navigate the airport with out help for the first time just using his phone. but that is the problum with alot of these kinds of things they seem like flash in the pan kind of things and then they are gone. eather they are really hyped and don't live up to expectations or they are only dun to do something like wright a papor and prove some kind of point and the papor sits on a desc some wair gathering dust. alot of these things might look good on papor but using them in a every day situwation is a hole nother story. that is why i think alot of these projects seem promising but never get off the ground unless big corpes put in big bucks to finance them untill then though they wont really do any good and let's face it as blind people we are still a really nitch market and haff of these things will die on the drawing board before ever getting off the ground. and this comes from 32 years of seeing things like this come and go some work and others you never hear about again. from Mich. ----- Original Message ----- From: SSEric To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, October 27, 2015 4:06 PM Subject: RE: Seems like dream comes true. Months ago, I read that San Francisco airport was installing some sort of navigation technology. They really did not go into detail, such as what would be the receiver. I think it was to be operational by September, although I have not heard anything else about it.
