I know what your saying.  I held on to my iPhone 4 when I went to the 5s.  It's 
connected to my WI-FI network and I mostly use it for sending out jokes to my 
face book friends leaving my 5s open for phone calls so having my old iPhone 
too has advantages and when ever I get a new iPhone, the 4 will be retired.
