Rob, For the $400 I was talking iPhone 6S 128 Gb on 2-year contract. Unlocked from Apple it is $850 US. According to Google just now 619 british pounds converts to 956.85 US Dollars, so yes, it is less expensive to buy it unlocked in the US.

I'm talking off-the-shelf, unlocked and not on contract. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sieghard Weitzel" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, October 30, 2015 3:32 PM Subject: RE: Typing on a 6S Alan, Ultimately it’s entirely your decision whether you want to spend $400 for a new iPhone 6S 128 Gb. Personally with Apple Music and being able to easily have all your music in the cloud I don’t think a 128 Gb iPhone is really all that necessary until you take thousands and thousands of pictures or if you plan to do major 4K video recording. But either way, the 6S is a great phone and the main difference to a 5S which is what I upgraded from is the fact that it is of course bigger, the processor is noticeably faster, touch Id is virtually instant and of course there are differences like having the power/sleep button on the side instead of the top and the rounded edges in back, also the camera sticks out just a tiny bit. I have done a few KNFB Reader scans and so far have not found much of a real-world diffierence in OCR quality between the 5S and 6S even though it has a better camera. I think there is a point after which higher megapixels just don’t make a difference for simple OCR and of course things like faster shudderspeeds and so on are irrelevant. You are not talking about an external keyboard that slides out the side of the iPhone. It sounded to me like that may have been what people were talking about in which case I would of said, I think I'll just hang on to my 5s instead. On the other hand, let's talk bang for the buck. My 2 year agreement is up with AT&T and I'm elegible for a new iPhone. My question is a simple one. Is there that much difference between the 5s and 6s or would I just be better off holding off for another year and wait for the iPhone 7? What sayith all of you? The 6s is larger, so the spacing is a little bit larger. And it is more responsive, I suppose because it has a faster processor. I have not noticed any of the issues that others are talking about. I do have an old four s. And when I go to use that, it seems positively dinosaur like. It is weird. On Oct 28, 2015, at 2:44 PM, Wayne Merritt <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> > wrote: The 6S appears to be much more sensitive to touch than earlier models. I realized it would take some getting used to what with the different size of the phone, but even typing with two hands like I normally do makes me feel like a fumbling idiot when VoiceOver jumps around and goes nuts. This morning on my commute I finally switched to Standard Typing to try to minimize the crazy.
