This happens occasionally with my wired earphones, too. I can’t quite figure
out what causes it. Sometimes it’s after a phone call and sometimes not. The
only fix is to turn off my phone. Unplugging and replugging the headset
doesn’t fix the problem.

Take care,
Lois

Edge

I've noticed a similar problem with an iPhone 6s and an iPad air 2.
Cheers

  Hello list,

So I’ve been experiencing a recent problem with my Plantronics Voyager Edge
when connected to two iPhones. Both phones are running iOS 9.1.

On the first connected phone, VO comes through fine, but with the second
device, even though it is connected via Bluetooth, Voiceover doesn’t go through
the headset. Nor do other notification sounds. Be it mail or breaking news
alerts, etc. I can press and hold the home button on the phone and indeed, I
will get that Siri chime to say something and when I issue a command, Siri will
speak back to me, but that’s it. No other sounds.

I’ve tried removing the headset’s Bluetooth profile and paring it again, it
will work initially, but again, shortly after, VO and the other sounds go
silent on the second connected device.

The settings on both phones with the Plantronics iOS app are the same. I’ve
only used this headset on these two phones so it’s not like I forgot to
unpaired it from another phone or tablet.

The headset’s maybe five months old.

Is anyone else dealing with this annoying issue and were they able to resolve
it?

  Thanks,

  Cristobal
