However, it is possible to listen to ddeeper voices (male or female) at high
speeds for longer durations than to higher-pitched voices. I like James
reading.

The only problem I have with James is that he sounds a little bit muffled. I
don't know if anybody has noticed that. What I don't like about voices like

She's got the same inflection for every sentence l; and that inflection
is so flat. As for Julie, I like the way she reads, but her actual voice
quality is too breathy/high-pitched for my liking. She sounds sort of

seems that voice is no longer available to purchase. It's not an Ivona
voice, so who knows.

A while ago, probably not too long after James came out and was added to
Voice Dream Reader, I got him. I almost immediately regreted it, though,
as it secmed to me that he sounded way better in the sample text you can
listen to through VDR's voice store than he did reading anything I tried
him with that I had in my library. Well, I just tried him again a few
minutes ago, and he sounds a lot better than I remember. He's even
competing with NeoSpeech Kate as my prefered voice, and with me, that's
sufer hard to do. I can't help comparing every voice I try with her, and
every time, I'm disappointed. Well, not this time. James is quite
pleasant to listen to.
