There was an issue in Ios 9.0.X when using wired headsets but that's been fixed
and I think it was even fixed already in 9.1.
Cara, if I experienced what you describe I would try to close all apps and then
do a Reset Network Settings. Not sure if you have tried this, but if you
haven't give it a shot and if you haven't upgraded to 9.2 yet I would do this
before updating, then once the phone reboots and you are reconnected to your
WiFi network, do the update and hopefully this will really fix most issues you
have been having. One exception of course is that thing where Voiceover goes
silent after replying to an email in a thread, but that is easily fixed with a
triple click of the home butto to turn Voiceover off and again to turn it back
on. Hopefully this will be fixed soon, now that 9.2 is out hopefully many
people here are going to report this again to [email protected].

No, I'm talking about the bug where it's impossible to answer a phone call. VO
won't read any of the buttons. I think there are some workarounds for this bug,
and some versions that aren't as severe. The bug you're describing sounds very
odd, though, and I don't think I've heard of that one as of yet.

I frequently have an issue where VO will crash when I make a call.
I need to cycle Voiceover off and then on again rapidly, for several times
before it will return.
Once it does, the phone app is then gone from the foreground and if I double
tap in the status bar to bring it back, nothing happens.
The only way to restore the phone app with my current call to the foreground is
to tap on the phone app, and then tap in the status bar to bring the current
call back up.
Needless to say, this is extraordinarily crazy.
Is this the issue people are mentioning?
if so, then it is most certainly not fixed on my phone, which is currently
running 9.1.
I am planning on updating either this evening or tomorrow morning.
