I wonder what version of iOS Tom's student has on his or her iPhone. I have the Safeway grocery store in my contacts with just "Safeway" in the company field and a phone number. If I say "Call Safeway" SIRI finds it online and says "1 option I found is Canada Safeway Limited on King Street, is that the one you want?" If I say yes it will call it, but not because it uses the entry in my contacts. It appears for all other contacts where I have them in my contacts with the name in the company field SIRI seems to always tell me "Oh, oh, I don't seem to have a phone number for..." and it mentions exactly the name I said and which is in my contacts. I know I definitely have properly formatted and labelled phone numbers and I'll definitely suggest some of you join me in sending feedback to Apple via their feedback form at www.apple.com/feedback since there is absolutely no reason why this should not work. I used to use a contact manager on Windows called Maximizer and they had this solved very elegantly. You could create new entries as "Individuals", "Contacts" or Companies". If you created a "Contact" it had to be associated with a company and all contacts were listed under that company. Companies were just that, entries for the organization and individuals were stand-alone entries for people like friends, family or others who were not necessarily associated with a company. I wish Outlook and the iPhone had this capability.
