Trying to reach the developer is definitely an option, but if the app hasn’t 
been updated in 2 years or more that is usually enough for me to abandon an app 
unless it’s something simple which just works and which may not benefit from 
new API’s and features which are possible in newer iOS releases.

He gives his Email address in the description in the itunes store.  I don’t use 
the app, but it seems like folks ought to give them a chance to reply.  If 
anyone has, I’ve not seen it mentioned on the list after I posted the Email

Bummer. I guess there is a problem with Shiprack and iOS 9 along with the other 
issues mentioned about lack of updates, etc. I think I'll give Parcel a try too 
since I like having a shipment tracking app that continually works.

I seem to have a similar problem with Shiprack doing the behavior you described 
although I'm not sure exactly what triggers it. The latest instance was after 
iOS 9.2 came out even though I'm still running iOS 8.3. I've found uninstalling 
and reinstalling the Shiprack app fixes this problem for me in past 
occurrences.
