It sounds like you separated the stand from the reading aid.
Oh wait, ok I've pulled the base and the stand apart. I see that
strip of adhesive.
I've located that interior folding section and inserted the tab into
the slot.
Update: I sent someone a link to that video where tom is
demonstrating, and they corrected what I was doing wrong! I had the
two metal legs facing exactly opposite to where they should be, so
the stand was jutting way out to the side of the base, and the tape
was definitely not on the top of the stand. It is now though, now
that I have the metal legs oriented correctly.
I'm pretty sure I could not have figured this out reading the written
instructions alone. Perhaps we should attempt a rewrite of them, to
send to people who buy the stand and book reading aid? Or are the
instructions clear enough to other folks?
