some of you may be forgetting about the number of NLS customers who are 65
and over, and have no idea what a smart or dumb phone is.

Right. The way they allow NLS books to play on daisy players but still
they distribute those big NLS players. Those big players have their
utility as well.

I don't think producing an IOS and Android app for NLS would mean that
they could stop producing their digital talking book players. Talking
Books weren't meant to just be read by people with smart phones. There
are plenty of Talking Book customers who don't have smart phones and who
specifically want or need a simple player to read their Talking Books.

I am not doubting it will happen at some point in the future. Really and
truly if the feds were smart they would get an iOS and Android
application
soon and stop producing those expensive stand alone players. I am sure
this
would result in a cost savings for them.
Wait nevermind cost savings and feds.

This list consists of very alert members. Before NLS tells you about
this,
the information will be on this list. I doubt the app will be available
in
the near future, if ever at all. In any event we don't have an NLS app
yet.
