Eloquence is an old, but favored among the blind, synthesizer that was last updated a good decade or so ago, but as long as there is still a need, it'll still be there I suppose. Many more natural voices are avalable in the iOS version, including most of the voices made free in iOS, like the default American English female that iPhones have made so popular. Unfortunately, Alex hasn't been made avalable yet, which is most likely a business move for the Voce Dream developer, as Alex can be used on Voice Dream Writer just fine. Ah well, we have the Speak Screen feature for that, which is almost a substitute for reading apps altogether, if all you need is stuff read to you.
