Hi, I didn't know you could load Rockbox on an iPod Classic. Rockbox is interesting software; I used to run it on an iPod Nano. Be advised that if you use it, it changes the interface; it's like using a different player. Your player will have the ability to boot into either Rockbox or the original firmware. With Rockbox running, the player won't be able to play files with DRM. If you need to play any such files, you'll need to boot into the original iPod software. When I used the Rockbox firmware, it was very nice and had features that weren't part of my iPod Nano's original firmware. It's just important to understand that it is different firmware, not a screen reader that makes the original firmware accessible.
