Hi Terri,
When you say you have apps on your phone, is that an iPhone? If so, why not just use your iPhone? I know some people here have all sorts of iOS devices and I can see why somebody might want an iPhone and an iPad of some sort because of the larger size, but the iPod Touch 5th or 6th Generation is the same size as the iPhone 5/5S and is basically just an iPhone without the phone. A few years ago when my now wife was still living in the Philippines I gave her an iPod Touch 5th Gen. After she came here last year I bought her an iPhone 6 and she has rarely picked up her iPod Touch since because she just does everything on the phone. I currently still have my iPhone 5S after buying a new phone last fall. It has no SIM card in it which basically makes it an iPod Touch and I thought maybe I would use it when I am home for audio books and so on, but I also rarely use it because I find it much easier and more convenient to do everything on my main device. Just my opinion. Are they worth purchasing? How exactly would a totally blind person use them? I found a 38 gig one for 80 dollars. I asked the guy who is selling it, if it may have voiceover. He said that he did not think so, because there is no speaker. He says that there is a wheel that clicks when you turn it. But how would you know where you were at, or how would you get to where you wanted to go? This sounds like a good deal to me, if it would work for me. I would love to have an IPod Touch. However, I really just want to be able to listen to my books, music, audio movies, and audio tv. I have apps I need, on my phone. And I also have Netflix, for other things. So what do you all think? Any thoughts, or suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank you, Terri -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
