Hi Kimber and Kirsten,

The books do not belong to you, think of it like Netflix, you pay a monthly
subscription fee and you can consume as much content as you want, movies and
TV shows in case of Netflix and Audio Books in case of AudioBooks.com. I
guess the idea is that if you want to listen to a book again after some time
you can just stream it again provided of course you maintain your
membership. The idea is a good one and I probably would pay the $25 a month
if it could replace my $22.95 a month Audible subscription. I could, after
all, listen to 10 books a month for $25 and even if I only listen to 1 book
a week it works out to just over $6 a book which is pretty cheap. But as I
said before, my trial membership was not the greatest experience as the book
I was listening to got pulled when I was half way through. Maybe they have
addressed this, but my understanding was at the time that this can happen
and there is nothing they can do about it. I also prefer to stay with
Audible at this point, first of all they do have a bigger selection of books
and secondly the books I buy with my membership credits or by paying extra
are mine for life and I can still listen to them even if I cancel my momthly
subscription.

Regards,
Sieghard
