Marie: This is probably not the answer, but worth a check. Under Settings/Wi-Fi, make sure you have the "Known networks will be joined automatically" switch enabled. Also, what type of security do you have setup on your Linksys router i.e. WEP, WPA-2 or some other security setting. Finally, are you using MAC address checking on your router?
