Hi, I used to have this router and never had issues with neither the 3GS
or with the 4S. So, it should work fine. I now have a Buffalo router and
it too works great.

I too have a related question. My router is a Linksys WRT 54G and works
flawlessly with my 3 GS. IOS on my phone is updated to 5.1.1. Now for
the question. Are these wifi issues related to a specific model of
iPhone, or are they related to a particular version of IOS or a specific
router?
I ask because I plan to purchase either a 4S if the price is right or
possibly an iPhone 5.
Thanks.

I had similar problem with WIFI and Iphone. Sometimes it wouldn't see
network. Sometimes it would connect OK after I reset everything but as
soon as phone went to sleep, no WIFI when I woke it up. Turns out it's
an Iphone problem. So if your Iphone is under warranty, have an Apple
store check it out. They at first thought mine was OK after they ran it
through their diagnostics and check systems. But I was a scheptic and
waited around. Well, the WIFI died again in front of them so they gave
me another phone. Verizon had not a clue and insisted it was my
network/router, but being that my Ipad and Ipold were fine and another
Iphone was fine, as well as my computers, I figured it wasn't my
network. And it wasn't. All is well after getting replacement phone. I
read an article somewhere about one of the chips going south lots of
times in the 4S series, so the problem is out there. HTH. Mary Anne

Mari,
I'm wondering about that too, as my iPod Touch 4G does the same thing.
It'll stream a whole day of a cricket test, which is upwards of seven
hours; then, however, it won't allow me to add birthdays to My
Calendar Mobile through Facebook. It's bloody annoying at times. I'm
in a somewhat large house (2300 square feet), and I'm across the house
from the router. It's the same type of router. I'm thinking of
purchasing a signal booster from Walmart or BestBuy or somewhere.
Hopefully that'll solve this. I'm getting a iPhone in February, Lord
willing, and I pray that it won't have similar problems.
