Yes, but the delay is definitely tolerable with some headsets, this Plantronics model is not one of them despite the fact that it is a high-end product which uses Bluetooth 4.0.

Apart from that I really like the headset, it is very comfortable, battery life is good and the sound quality is impressive for a Bluetooth headset. It also has nice controls and I like the feature that it senses if you take it off and it automatically pauses playback, but that lag is a total deal-breaker. In addition to that it sometimes seems to randomly disconnect even if my iPhone is only a few feet away. So it’s going back and I’ll use the money and then some to buy a new Festool cordless drill, at least I know that with that I am getting the best there is.
