No, nothing has changed, Cara does not like beta features or issues/bugs to be discussed on this list. There are other lists for that and I think it’s a wise decision since there are so many list members on here so even now that public betas are available those of us who install them are probably a very small percentage of the list membership so it really would be of very little interest to the majority of people on this list. Then there is always the problem that if betas are discussed some list members are tempted to try it and as those of us who have tried beta software know, it is definitely not for everybody and you have to be willing to put up with problems.
