Ari and all, I believe to turn off notifications from the native Calendar, go into Settings, Mail/Contacts/Calendars, and look under default alert times. Make sure it is set to none. You can bring up the Fantastical 2 settings by going to the app and finding the settings button in the upper center or left of the screen, can't recall which, and then look under default alert times for events. I have mine set to 10 minutes. Rarely do I change it,. This makes scheduling a new appointment very easy, since I put in the title, location, and start/end times.
