Just so i have it clear, are you saying, it is OK, to update over the air now, 
without using iTunes?

Hi everyone, multiple tech publications are now reporting that they've been 
informed by Apple the issue is resolved. 
So if you were holding off specifically because of the risk of bricking your 
device, Apple is indicating it should be safe to try.
I guess I'll try updating my wife's iPhone, and if it fails...well..I'll be in 
the dog house.

  release, let them work the bugs out, always wanting the latest and

    Sorry but this is just not true. It's a very serious Apple bug which, if 
you're affected by it, will require you to connect your iPhone to iTunes and 
possibly perform a restore. It's not just load on the server, it's a critical 
case of phones being bricked.

    updating. Then, the iTunes symbol came up and is just sitting there.
