This is the one part of the iPhone that you might not care for. The
ringer is controlled by the ringer volume, however the rest of
notifications are controlled by the media volume. So basically you'll
need to adjust your media volume where you would like the rest of your
notifications to be. After that if speech is to loud, you'll use the
rotor to navigate to the volume and turn voice over down to your desired
level.
