When I updated my iPad mini two recently, I went ahead and enabled two factor
authentication. Subsequently, Apple sent me a notification that included a
link, which, if I activated, will let me undo the changes I made. This link
will go away as of sometime next week. Therefore, I am interested in the
details of the problems that arise with two factor authentication. I gave them
my mobile phone number where they could send the six digit code that will be
needed when and if I get a new Apple device where I log in with my Apple ID. I
certainly don't want some unsolvable problem happening down the road. So what
are the issues? Is it something that happens when you're trying to enable two
factor authentication? In that case, mine is already done, so no problem. If it
is a problem that happens when you're actually trying to start using a new
device, that's another matter, and would make me consider revoking my two
factor authentication.
