Though you can use the Siri remote that comes with the 4th Gen Apple TV, the swipe area at the top of that remote is very small. The gestures you have to use are a lot smaller and shorter than the ones you use on the iPhone. You may find that you prefer using the Apple TV remote app on your phone over the smaller Siri remote. There are a few things that you cannot do with the app on the phone, but most of them you can do from either remote. Many times I will accidently move my finger down and go to the next icon when using the Siri remote, when I wanted to click the remote to open the item I was on first. You will have to try it and see which you like best. I've gotten used to the smaller remote and in some ways prefer it, but my sighted wife has trouble using the Siri remote. She was very happy to get the remote app on her iPhone to use.
