Hello all: I was thinking of using the gmail app, but I like the native app with IOS. The only thing that drives me crazy is that when you tap the conversation to get to the messages the only time they go to the original email is the first time. After that if you continue after deleting to go through the mail it starts on the last email written. I found if I expand conversations on the front screen it will be only a preview and not the whole email. Is there a setting or something someone can suggest for either problem that would enhance my reading email? Thanks so much in advance.

I quite forgot when I posted my reply to Carol that the user can delete the entire contents of the trash mailbox with one press of a button in the native Mail app. I still think there is a place for the Gmail app for those who prefer a streamlined, single-minded gateway to Gmail. I am a fan of apps that do not present over-complicated scenarios. Having said that, I also use the native aMail app and think that overall, it does a good job in uniting a number of functions.
