Hi David, After I read an article where Consumer's Union tested cases and said the smaller profile silicon cases provided as much protection as the larger ones like Otterbox, I purchased such a minimal case made by Spigen, along with a glass screen protector (which any Apple store or your carrier store will usually install for you). I also purchased the fold out adhesive "ring" from Spigen, which fastens to the back of any smooth case. The ring slips over any finger, and then you don't have to concentrate on gripping your phone tightly enough to never have it jarred out of your hand. The ring means I never drop it, and when/if I do, the slim case and screen protector has always done the job for me, and it easily fits in your pocket. No flap to open in order to access the screen.

For years I've used Otterbox Defenders with my iPhone. I loved the level of protection the case offered but the screen protectors were a bit hit and miss in that most of them felt like there was a flimsy plastic sheet hovering over the case. One Defender case I owned had a perfect screen protector, which was perfectly flush with the case to the point where you couldn't even feel it. However, the latest case I bought this summer had the flimsy protector again and I just don't care for the feel. Therefore, I'm asking for recommendations for a case with similar protection but which has a nicer screen protector. I'm wondering if I should just go with something like an Otterbox Commuter with a Zag Invisible shield just for the screen. -- David Goldfield, Assistive Technology Specialist Feel free to visit my Web site WWW.DavidGoldfield.Info -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
