Actually, that is not true. Do not use the home button to close the folder, use the scrub gesture to close the folder. Then go where you want the app and you will find the new method works quite nicely.

Supposing you put an app into a folder that is no problem at all. But later on, you decide to take the app out of the folder this task cannot be fulfilled with the new method because when pressing home to move out of the folder, the edit or replace mode is stopped and you can nolonger replace the app. You must use the old method to move the app out of a folder first and then put it back into another folder.
