Well, just because one person doesn't see a need or a use for one
particular feature, doesn't mean there aren't others out there who would
find such a feature useful. Someone may want to keep a bluetooth speaker
in their shower, by a pool or hot tub, on a boat, or may just want the
piece of mind of knowing it could survive a splash or quick dunk.
For my part, if I'm not interested in a feature then I just won't
consider it or pay for it. I wouldn't criticize someone else for wanting
a feature just because I'm not interested in it myself. That's why we
have choices and products with different features. Those that enough
people like will be successful and features people don't like won't
stick around for long.
