Hi Terry, Crossfade is similar to what you hear on the radio when one song ends and another one begins. You hear no silence, just the last song fading out, and the new one coming in. To change the equalizer settings, go to settings, play back, equalizer. The equalizer is meant to add more bass, mid level sound, or treble I hope this helps.
