And for me the update never even showed up, I assume it has something to do
with the fact I ran the beta before. I did delete the beta profile and reboot
my phone before connecting it to the computer and opening iTunes, but iTunes
told me I had the latest update. I then unplugged it and checked in Settings >
General > Software Update and iOS 10.3 was available for download. It was a 2.2
Gb download on my 6S Plus which took 3 or 4 minutes, then once it was done
saying “preparing update” and “verifying update” the iPhone restarted and about
9 or 10 minutes later it rebooted and asked me to put in my PIN. It then also
asked for my Apple Id password after which it was all done and all seems to
work OK.

Subject: Re: Anyone Having a Problem Updating to iOS 10.3 via iTunes?

I plugged my work iPhone into the computer and tried to do the download and
update last evening.
This is an iPhone 6S.
IT first said it would take 3 hours.
I waited over an hour and it was still at 2.3 hours, roughly.
I waited a bit longer, then canceled.
I updated that phone over WiFi in about 20 minutes.

Hello List,

I'll say right up front that I know the iOS servers are no doubt extremely busy
at this early stage of the version 10.3 release. I'm curious if anyone else is
experiencing the issue I am.

Before proceeding with the iOS 10.3 upgrade in iTunes, I had to upgrade my
iTunes running under Windows 7 to the latest 12.6 version since that is
required for compatibility with iOS 10.3. The next step I've tried is to
download only the update since I want it on my local computer to be able to
update my iPhone 7 later at my leisure. I then get a dialog box indicating that
the iOS update servers are being contacted which remains unchanged for about an
hour until I got tired of waiting and executed the cancel button. I then
received a message that iTunes had stopped working and I was prompted to close
the program.

I'll try again in about a week but I was curious whether anyone else on the
list had experienced a similar upgrade issue.

Thanks for any comments.
