I would have to agree. Its called spamming up an already full email list.
Pointless and a waste of time if you ask me. _____ From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Robin Frost Sent: Saturday, April 01, 2017 10:04 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Apple rumours hint at special iPhone for the blind with integrated 2-row 20-cell braille display Hi, You say: “ April fools has to be the worst and most pointless holiday out there.” I couldn’t agree more with you I hate it and all that comes with it with the fire of a thousand suns. And I’m proud to say I didn’t even give it more time than it took to read it and said no way. It would be cool if and when they ever get taptic technology developed to the point to where lines and dots could be simulated on the screen as though there were actually Braille present. This may be available as early as this fall, the braille cells would take up part of the screen, but of course there still would be a smaller area which accepts the familiar touch gestures as well and it will be priced similarly to the rumoured iPhone 8 at just over $1,000 US. Below is a direct link to the Podcast, if you subscribe to Today in iOS you can quickly skip ahead and start listening at around 32 minutes into the Podcast. I am not much of a braille user myself, but I know many on this list use braille all the time and this would probably be a big hit for braille users. Here now the link, if you listen by going to this link on a computer look for the button Jaws speaks as "Unlabelled 0": http://tii.libsyn.com/tii-item-0424-ios-103-gold-master-and-ios-1032-beta-1 Regards, Sieghard -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
