This is just my opinion of course but I've have found that it is absolutely worth it. It is much easier for me to navigate with the larger screen and the option to have a keyboard is great. I spent the extra money and got the keyboard and I love it. As for the sound quality I can't be beat if you ask me. It sounds even better than the 6+ that I have. I don't know about the seven but I think it sounds even better than that because it has four speakers. Also I have hardly ever use my desktop computer since purchasing this last year. It is a great piece of Technology.
