The Bard Mobile app does not provide for recovery of any books following a restore regardless of the type of backup you're restoring. That is one of the limitations of the app. If you know you'll be getting a new device or restoring a backup to a device, you'd be wise to make note of any books in BARD Mobile you'll want after the restore as well as any reading positions in any of those books you've started reading. Bard Mobile will contain no content after the restore.
