I think what you are wanting to accomplish can be done with Ariadne, which
is around $5 or $6 instead of the cost of BlindSquare or Nearby Explorer.
Ariadne will not announce streets although it can give you an approximate
address, But you can create custom points of interest easily.
Once you have created your points of interest you can bring focus to a point
and you will get a clock face tracking announcement along with the
approximate distance to the point. It does a good job of using the compass
if you happen to lose internet connectivity.
One can also use the native maps apps with tracking with heading turned on,
and this will announce major points of interest as well as street crossings.

Like I said, I don't really even know how to use a GPS. So this is all
kind of new to me, I did once walk around using I think it was either
aridne or blind square I don't remember and it was really cool how it
would announce streets and such.

I believe you can do this with Nearby Explorer or Blind Square. Probably
Seeing Eye GPS as well.

Hi, Speaking of GPS and getting addresses and such. I have a question but
in order to ask I have to explain things a bit.
I am moving to a new place and what I want to do is learn to go from my
place to both the mailboxes and the dumpsters and back to my place. Is
there a way I could say go from my place and get to the mailbox with some
help then somehow put my mailbox as a point of interest? And do the same
with the dumpsters?
