Richard, no. the Galileo satellite navigation system is a project of the European Union that will be similar to the GPS system created by the United States. It is not an app or maps. Galileo became operational in December 2016 with the activation of a few satellites. The iPhone 7 contains a microchip that supports Galileo satellites but until more satellites are in orbit and in operation few will experience much benefit. The much greater accuracy will be available for those that pay a licensing fee. It is unclear if handset manufacturers will pay the fee for more accuracy or tell consumers to by an external navigation receiver. The Chinese are also creating a satellite navigation system and it is like Galileo in the early stages of deployment.
Apple is famous for focusing on the benifits of a product and not its features. As Galileo was not available when the iPhone 7 launched and the number of satellites is still small, the benefit to the end user is also small which is why Apple is not talking about it.
