Hi,

Has anyone ever tried doing OCR from an external scanner where text of an
article onscreen on the iPhone (or iDevice) cannot be read by VoiceOver. I’m
thinking of digital newspaper text on the iPhone screen that is not/cannot be
read by VoiceOver. Would scanning it on a CanoScan scanner – used by Kurzweil
1000 attached to a PC - potentially do any damage to an iPhone screen? (Of
course, would or could one get any satisfactory results thereby?) My newspaper
app can’t be transferred between devices, and I can’t export stuff from it to
DropBox – there being no facility provided for it (and/or I can’t read it. The
search boxes read fine, and do the page numbers. If I type text into the search
box, I’ll get results back, which are read by VoiceOver. But that is of course
a very tedious way to have to get through an article or articles.

Thoughts on this proposition?
Thanks.
