hi,
The jury is out with regard to screen curtain and battery saving. The official
position is: it doesn't save battery. my observation is: it probably does
because when screen curtain is off and brightness is up the phone gets hotter!
as heat is an expression of energy, this, probably, means that the phone is
using more battery life. however, turning the brightness down as far as you
comfortably can, definitely does save battery. these days, now that I can't see
the screen at all, I have the brightness down to 0 and don't bother with the
screen curtain.

just my thoughts, Sandy
