That's exactly what I had done.  Do you remember if it had mentioned to remove 
a battery for 10 seconds, then put it back again?  Then it mentioned that the 
scale display should say something about being in the setup mode, which I 
assumed it already was because the card that came with the unit said to pull 
the tab out of the battery compartment and the scale would then be in the setup 
mode.  I'll try it again, and if it doesn't work, then I'll connect it to my 
computer.  Thanks for the advice and I'll let you know how it turns out.
