hi Robin, I do use the pen friend, and the sort of things it's useful for, which would also apply to this app plus Q are codes, would be to label, for example, containers in your freezer with information about what they contain. I also use a lot of spices in my kitchen, I decant them into little jars, so I labelled them and can easily find out which is which. The advantage is that you can feel the label unlike a barcode. hope this helps, Sandy
