That makes no difference. I think sometimes people think that just because a 
headset uses Bluetooth 4.0 or 4.1 they are better, have less lag or whatever. I 
can guaranty from personal experience that this is not the case because a year 
or so ago I purchased an expensive (about $200) set of Plantronics Backbeat 
Sense headphones. They used Bluetooth 4.1 and sounded great, but the lag was so 
bag that they were unuseable with Voiceover. I have had many bluetooth 
espeakers, single earpieces and stereo headsets over the last 8 years and none 
was as bad as these. My 5-year old Outdoor Tech stereo headset which uses 
Bluetooth 2.1 is almost as good as anything I have ever had and I definitely 
found out that what bluetooth version a manufacturer uses means very little. 
I'll never buy a bluetooth headset, earpiece or speaker if there isn't a return 
policy which allows me to return it if I'm not satisfied with it.
